WOO HOO!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This was my July Sampler class project! It's a 12 x 12 Sampler to be displayed in August! 12 x 12 Samplers are quite popular these days and admittedly I did not come up with the concept, not sure where the original one was posted! I have been holding these classes almost 3 years now, designing my own squares, and every month they are full! I am proud of my personal designs, and get lots of compliments on them! I'm especially thrilled when another demonstrator chooses to comment and share... most are respectful and give me credit as the designer, which I always try to do when I share a friend's design! I LOVE searching Pinterest for inspiration, especially for my card designs. Often I use a card I find as inspiration, and "tweak a bit" to make my own - I still say "found something on Pinterest that inspired me to make this card" - I don't always remember exactly what I saw, who it was, but if you ever see anything on my blog here that you "feel is yours" please let me know and I'll back track and give you credit... WOO HOO</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Well... the way I (don't) blog, you would think I never stamp! But I do, I do! and the newest cat stamper to the family, Lily... likes to help! Do you see here in the photo?</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">We are making this project in my Stampin' Den this month - each month we make a 12 x 12 Stampin' Sampler to display the next month at home! Buy one frame, swap out the project each month! This is the cute one we're doing for March. - I used the "Cherry on Top" Designer paper stack - LOVE LOVE the Cucumber Crush, with Watermelon Wonder - and I actually chose Daffodil Delight rather than Crushed Curry, just wanted that "brighter yellow" for Spring which is arriving... SOON!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Contact me if you live in the area (western suburbs of Chicago) and I can let you know when classes are held! You can also get on my mailing list.. that helps too!</span><br />

Where does the time go? WOW... the last time I was here... OCTOBER 20th... what a slacker! Well, I'm gonna have to fix that... but not today! LOL... just thought I'd pop in and let you know I have plans to get back on track, I mean it's a New Year... everyone has great plans, great intentions.. so we'll see if I'm the 95% that doesn't carry through... or if I actually manage to get this act together!<br />
IN the meantime... there's a NEW Occasions Catalog out... and it's SALEABRATION! Which means FREE STUFF when you order $50 or more...<br />
Contact me if you want me to send you the catalog and brochure... I also updated the links here so you can see them online... well, I actually didn't yet... but since I can "schedule" this to post AFTER I do update... I just pretend I already did it... well that's way more than you needed to know...<br />

I'm challenged! In lots of areas.... lol<br />
SO...<br />
HERE's the Poinsettia Card, which we made at our Christmas Card Buffet this weekend... it was the biggest hit!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have a fun trick for making the flower... wouldn't it be GREAT if I could figure out the darn videos...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Try to follow along...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Punch a 1" circle to build your flower on.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Stamp and punch out SIX of the "double" petals (I used Cherry Cobbler)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
On the circle, criss cross THREE of these double petals to form a circle of 6</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
then CUT THE REMAINING THREE into single petals.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Add a touch of Tombow Multi Glue onto the bottom back of each petal, and tuck in between each of the petals already on the circle, between the petals and the circle... Clear as mud? :) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
OH... and then Punch out TWO double petals in Old Olive, cut apart, and tuck in for leaves...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hey... videos are coming... really.... I'm so close... yeah... define close...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;">WOO HOO!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;">ALL STAMP SETS...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;">I repeat... ALL STAMP SETS...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;">are on sale through October 23rd! </span></div>

<span style="font-size: x-large;">15% off! Yippppeeeee</span></div>

<i><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">it's been A MONTH...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh</span></i><br />
<i><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">but, I have to look at it this way... still an improvement since I started the blog - it was TWO YEARS between posts... so one month... lookin' pretty good! </span></i><br />
<i><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></i>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Here's a card that the stampers will be making this weekend at my Christmas Card Buffet! Ladies come and make 12 cards... they choose their favorites, and make multiples of the 3-4 card designs they like the best! I will be posting their other choices in the next day or two... or month or two... who knows!<br />ENJOY THIS ONE... AT LEAST IT'S HERE!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPZS8ytZhv3emFfEvSY4va-lIJ7u4VbynYVr_5lqHqHzEf4CSvLw5YM95nJUta2HIY3faJgRZZ8V-DMaCBT-On7NEnYh9vGejCNLq_se6HwhTBio7-K0fk-3cMpKvti6KgbCzhw0_oO7OW/s1600/Bermuda+Bay+Ornament+card.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPZS8ytZhv3emFfEvSY4va-lIJ7u4VbynYVr_5lqHqHzEf4CSvLw5YM95nJUta2HIY3faJgRZZ8V-DMaCBT-On7NEnYh9vGejCNLq_se6HwhTBio7-K0fk-3cMpKvti6KgbCzhw0_oO7OW/s320/Bermuda+Bay+Ornament+card.JPG" width="247" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Clearly haven't honed those photography skills yet... but.. You can get the idea...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I wanted to use the Embellished Ornaments Stamp Set without the framelits - make this one truly "FAST and Fabulous" ... </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So I just stamped the ornament with Bermuda Bay ink on whisper white cardstock which was cut 3 x 3 3/4 - then layered onto 3 1/4 x 4 Bermuda Bay cardstock. Made the bow with whisper white seam binding. I used our new silver cording from the Holiday Catalog to make the loop, and the fun loops behind the little flower. Add some of our Bermuda Bay sequins and a few Rhinstones... wahlah! or... wala... or wahla... or walah... you get the idea!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Fun... QUICK card... a great layout for Christmas when you need to make a ton of them!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Online store link is to the right... click on the cute kitty with the shopping cart... contact me if you have any questions! </span></div>

I'll just be posting random silly things...that may or may not have something to do with Stampin'... cuz I'm random... and silly... and as some of you know, I am a confirmed, diagnosed Adult with Attention Deficit Disorder... that explains a lot about me now doesn't it? </span><br />

Fast... not so much! LOL...<br />
It's been too long since my last post... so I'm "throwing this out here" for you to see and admire... no directions... no list of supplies I wish you would go purchase from me... lol... but... You are welcome to take a look... and reproduce at home with your stuff!<br />
If things look familiar... well... it's because I probably found something similar and "tweaked" it a bit... and then it became mine! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglygwguhOsCY-YLr1yJykqRZDVu1l6FlhpfgPgkyN4b2u49QKa4hqA1GaHLCxis0K8tsNuKCi6XZwRHU7eRcz5rrDIjzZWDTze-MBf_Lp5t_xAWIf5wNAn-dLkYQIxnIIxDHMcN0EbCH_E/s1600/blog+pic+sept+cards.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="323" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglygwguhOsCY-YLr1yJykqRZDVu1l6FlhpfgPgkyN4b2u49QKa4hqA1GaHLCxis0K8tsNuKCi6XZwRHU7eRcz5rrDIjzZWDTze-MBf_Lp5t_xAWIf5wNAn-dLkYQIxnIIxDHMcN0EbCH_E/s400/blog+pic+sept+cards.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
Really thought the <span style="font-size: large;">igloo</span> was clever... sorry I don't have the name of who did it first... well... who knows who actually <i>was</i> first... I used the Brick Embossing Folder, and then the circle thinlits to cut it out, then the large oval punch to cut the "door" -<br />
I brayered Marina Mist right onto the inside of the embossing folder on the side where the "grout edges are sticking up" so that the grout was blue after I ran it through the Big Shot... oh yeah... thought I was being pretty clever with that one! <i>Now if my darn cat would just let me type...</i><br />
<i>Pictures of that another day... or go find me on facebook... it's there!</i><br />
WOO HOO!<br />
Happy late Monday to you all...<br />
<br />glendastampshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14858484453938094289noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2811675310111857134.post-25633155588310129332015-09-09T08:12:00.004-05:002015-09-09T08:12:44.165-05:00New definition for "Tchotchke" and a spelling lesson!SO... turns out that word I tried to spell yesterday is real...hah! Thanks to my dear friend <a href="http://ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com/">Amanda Frankel</a> over at <a href="http://ourcraftyplaydate.blogspot.com/">Our Crafty Playdate</a> for sharing the correct spelling! It's a weird one, isn't it? Turns out it's Yiddish... where my family got this word and started using it on a regular basis I'll never know... but that spelling is tricky! <br />
So...try singing it to the tune of "Oh Christmas Tree"... <i>(which is a tad ironic, I'm not sure anyone Yiddish would even have a Christmas tree right? I mean... I dunno... maybe they do, but that's a lesson for another day) </i><br />
"OH... TCH O TCH KE blah blah blah blah blah' ....you ARE singing right? Hey... THIS is how my brain works... what can I say?<br />
Now... we'll need to add another definition...one for our crafting world... because if you look it up.. it's supposed to be a "small decorative object" or "trinket"... I guess that's pretty close to "an embellishment on a papercrafting project"... right? So... take note of the cute tchotchkes on yesterdays project post! Happy Wednesday folks! Go stamp something fun! glendastampshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14858484453938094289noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2811675310111857134.post-68364652540025445122015-09-08T20:04:00.003-05:002015-09-08T20:04:33.240-05:00Halloween 12 x 12 Sampler!<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Well... it's finally ready... with 23 hours to spare! LOL</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I decided to go "traditional" and used the color palette of the NEW Designer Series Paper called <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=139584">Happy Haunting</a> - Basic Black, Tangelo Twist and Very Vanilla - I used several of the images from the <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=140840">Hawl-o-ween Treat Stamp Set and Boo to You Framelits Bundle</a> Love love all the bundles in this Holiday Catalog!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Drum Roll....</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgy0-eaf2aNt-IVU3bEucnXVrYqrkqpJKIoXvvxLpPa4FRreGGz6Oc0GZEfM81THa9iuTWJFQ4JVj4S3VbAQHesLaEBvt8cn7sYYRWtkpbVJ0mSA6cB-q3kiD_1l4TnxQdXqEAla75yqIoU/s1600/Halloween+Sampler+2015+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgy0-eaf2aNt-IVU3bEucnXVrYqrkqpJKIoXvvxLpPa4FRreGGz6Oc0GZEfM81THa9iuTWJFQ4JVj4S3VbAQHesLaEBvt8cn7sYYRWtkpbVJ0mSA6cB-q3kiD_1l4TnxQdXqEAla75yqIoU/s400/Halloween+Sampler+2015+4.jpg" width="400" /></a> </div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I also decided since I was limiting the color combo, I needed something to make it "pop" ! So I used lots of Black Heat embossing, and some fun NEW <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=139605">Black Glimmer Paper</a> , along with our <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=133719">Gold Glimmer Paper</a> for some fun bling! Pictures don't really show the awesomeness...</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Here are a couple close ups:</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">When I get really smart, I'll have one of those cool carousel things where you can see all the products I used... I think it even links to my store! I'm sure you clever stampers have seen those on the "cool" demo blogs... LOL... I'm a work in progress... Heck ... I'm 60... I think I'm always going to be a work in progress... WOO HOO!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">In the meantime... Just contact me at <a href="mailto:glendastamps@comcast.net">glendastamps@comcast.net</a> if you'd like info on how and what to order... Kits for this project are pretty impossible, as I'm not allowed to pre-stamp images... Kind of limits what would be in the kit.. Perhaps I need to consider a PDF tutorial option... People have been asking... oh dear... I'm sure getting in over this old head! </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Basic instructions are the same for each month - the background is a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock, then an 8 1/2" square layer, then an 8 1/8" square layer. The nine squares are 2 1/4" squares, then usually layered with a 2" square - sometimes that layer is designer paper - then comes the fun "chotchky" things... <i>how do you spell chochky? chotchkey? Yeah... good luck with that one... I think someone made it up... who cares how you spell it, you don't need to know how to spell to stamp... isn't that a good thing? </i></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> Thanks for stopping in! Truly hoping to get more consistent with the posting here... </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">and then... .there's those VIDEOS I plan to make...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Check out "this thing"</span></div>

I typed this up and thought I scheduled it for Saturday or Sunday... I think I forgot to hit the "publish" button... oh well! <br />
<br />
These 12 x 12 Samplers are one of my most popular classes! Basically you purchase <i>one</i> frame, find a great place in your home or office to display... and each month you come and stamp a new Sampler to switch out and display at home! <br />
Here is what we made this month to display in September:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrQMJDYEAk5MTrjOlb8RBCa8mKscD8ZfglZ9fAz-1YT7rAz8IB9g05GzEgkcNGZb2uOjSrbRE9d5nQRnpVAQaTQ-bfznnCtU6nyto26Lma5spOB2wuAkMccP_jWwfGEEGVn6rDdAZJ225-/s1600/September+12+x+12+Sampler+2015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="302" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrQMJDYEAk5MTrjOlb8RBCa8mKscD8ZfglZ9fAz-1YT7rAz8IB9g05GzEgkcNGZb2uOjSrbRE9d5nQRnpVAQaTQ-bfznnCtU6nyto26Lma5spOB2wuAkMccP_jWwfGEEGVn6rDdAZJ225-/s320/September+12+x+12+Sampler+2015.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The project is 12 x 12 - background is Garden Green, then there's an 8 1/2" square of Delightful Dijon, then the 8 1/8" square of Very Vanilla. Each of the 9 squares are 2 1/4" bases, here I used Real Red and Garden Green, then there is a 2" layer of either Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla or Garden Green. And then... comes the fun embellishments! We use lots of punch art, making 9 squares that keep with the monthly theme - Last year's September Sampler had a touch of "Back to School" (see previous post here somewhere... not hard to find, there's only 4 total... hah!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipP7BTsNTPNqQUz8zt-XT3RnDYLAsQrAv97xDNcsnucOxq0ugwL7JPanIxQPfYjeOghfJjX15rR3aAxAby20u3nFoCWhoC0elTS9fAgBKH94IAsDw-Ciei0bewPzT3IxMMIypgetwAwd3B/s1600/September+Sampler+Close+up+Flowers+Apple+core.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipP7BTsNTPNqQUz8zt-XT3RnDYLAsQrAv97xDNcsnucOxq0ugwL7JPanIxQPfYjeOghfJjX15rR3aAxAby20u3nFoCWhoC0elTS9fAgBKH94IAsDw-Ciei0bewPzT3IxMMIypgetwAwd3B/s320/September+Sampler+Close+up+Flowers+Apple+core.jpg" width="320" /></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You can see we use lots of punches when we make these samplers, which is why it's a great class to attend... it would be $100's of dollars to purchase all the punches you need for a project like this....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My cute scarecrow was everyone's favorite square this month! We used the biggest oval punch for his hat and head, Heart Border punch for cheeks, 7/8" scallop for "shirt collar" , Tree Builder punch for the little bird on his hat (we free hand cut the longer beak to look like a crow) , The Fringe Scissors worked great to make the hair... and those "eyeballs"... Too cool! It's white circles punched with the Owl Punch, then we colored the largest pearl with a black Sharpie! Stitches on his scrap nose and his mouth were freehanded with a Basic Black Marker - I love how he turned out...</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've gotten lots of requests in the past for me to offer these Samplers as<b> Kits in the Mail </b>... I've posted many samples on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/glendastamps" target="_blank">my Facebook Page</a> go take a look! .... Let's get some comments and see if there's enough interest in "Kits in the Mail" FYI-<i> </i>We're not allowed to sell stamped images, so the kit would include the punch pieces, squares, etc ... everything BUT the stamped images.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Welcome! I'm so excited... this is my first "blog hop"! This month we are featuring our "Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek"... and lots of talented stampers are involved, so enjoy! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #333333; font-size: 16.7999992370605px; line-height: 24px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-size: 16.7999992370605px; line-height: 24px;">You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Glenda Travelstead, Stand Up Stamper, or perhaps you're dropping in from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below my project will help you move along from blog to blog so you won't miss a project.</span></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-size: 16.7999992370605px; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-size: 16.7999992370605px; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I've decided to start with a fun fall Stamp Set, Lighthearted Leaves, Item # 139712 - it's a Photopolymer stamp set, 10 stamps for $26.00 - Of course you will also want the coordinating Leaflets Framelits set from the "Big Book" - Item #138283 $25.00 Cuts 6 different leaf shapes!</span></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-size: 16.7999992370605px; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Let's start easy...</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqKHN-buNLwpI2CJyLGcIUgH7cR0s98JyAfpNqWf8574cVtaoVab5LHPfELYE2iU4xZBsy9naOPj1ErbWye0NvIau9oxhzAUfyvaksFjOTasr3uAMHeRIKKi0YXLfHDfXkgQdfPwqMvKDW/s1600/Lighthearted+Leaves+Simple.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqKHN-buNLwpI2CJyLGcIUgH7cR0s98JyAfpNqWf8574cVtaoVab5LHPfELYE2iU4xZBsy9naOPj1ErbWye0NvIau9oxhzAUfyvaksFjOTasr3uAMHeRIKKi0YXLfHDfXkgQdfPwqMvKDW/s320/Lighthearted+Leaves+Simple.jpg" width="278" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I love the simplicity of this layout - And just two colors, Very Vanilla and Tip Top Taupe. We have the standard card base, 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and folded to be the 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card. Tip Top Taupe layer is a 3" square, then a 2 3/4" square of Very Vanilla - notice the detail! I've run the Vanilla square through the Big Shot with our NEW Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing folder (#139673 $8.50) I've stamped the leave with Tip Top Taupe Ink onto Tip Top Taupe Cardstock, then cut with the coordinating Framelit. I crumpled it a bit, attached with Stampin' Dimensionals Add the greeting which is included in the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set... and you are done! Too easy? </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Then this next one is for you!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVfRk36T0ppRWniw-O16CIM5ny70YcRCVuZj-sDBCMu0yPKcHU30nAI0wcig8IWUkuJEuTKT167azQFgoTaV0TrGGi04KaEsd6Ku9WlE_vKOscnzZKjdYAmRBftm_-jkzlQzxES4xlfchM/s1600/Lighthearted+Leaves+Pumpkin.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVfRk36T0ppRWniw-O16CIM5ny70YcRCVuZj-sDBCMu0yPKcHU30nAI0wcig8IWUkuJEuTKT167azQFgoTaV0TrGGi04KaEsd6Ku9WlE_vKOscnzZKjdYAmRBftm_-jkzlQzxES4xlfchM/s320/Lighthearted+Leaves+Pumpkin.jpg" width="266" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Love this card! I came across a similar card somewhere, probably on Pinterest... and just adapted it to our Stampin' Up! Products! I used the stamp stamp set, framelits and embossing folder... </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">TO MAKE THE "FUNKY PUMPKIN" - You start with a 4 1/2 x 4 inch piece of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, Run through Big Shot with the Woodland Embossing Folder, Round 4 corners, then CUT INTO 1" strips - SPONGE all edges with Cajun Craze Ink, Round each strip a bit with your bone folder, then attach with Stampin' Dimensionals - You can "free hand cut" your stem, or if that's an issue for you :) I used the Bow Builder punch and cut the main piece in half on an angle... walah! A stem... Leaves are stamped with Delightful Dijon, Cajun Craze and Old Olive on coordinating cardstock and cut with Leaflet Framelits. Greeting is from another new stamp set "A Little Something" and comes wood mount #139827 for $23.00 or Clear mount rubber #139830 for $17.00 includes 9 fun stamps, it's featured on Page 41 of the NEW Holiday Catalog! Contact me if you need a copy! </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I hope you enjoyed my two projects... remember I'm a "rookie blogger" ... so be patient with me... nothing like using the "sink or swim" theory here and just jumping into this pool with a BLOG HOP... woo hoo!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Remember, you're at Glenda Travelstead's blog, so just click the next name on the list here to continue the hop.... LOTS of talented stampers with lots to share today!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

LOL whatever... I'm learning!So... this is a test... it's only a test... because seriously, after TWO YEARS... do you think I'm finally gonna DO THIS? Not very likely.. so... let's get back to the test! Because, if I figure it out, I just may be involved in a blog hop... hah! Let's see... It's a process... WOO HOO! SO... I should probably try to post a project picture... this is last year's September Sampler... kinda cute huh? Photography isn't my strong suit as you can see... heck, I'm 60 years old... still trying to find my strong suit! <br />
<br />

Well... she did it, dear SISer Amanda got this set up for me... and now... I get to figure out how to do it! I've never been much of a pink person, but... hey, I'm new at this! At least you can read it... someday I'll figure out how to make it all fancy... maybe... maybe not! I promise... nope...I should never promise anything... I don't always deliver... heart's in the right place, but the brain... goes where it wants... So... the plan, the hope, the dream... is that I will actually post Stampin' Up! projects here... and have a calendar with actual stuff on it, and maybe even videos... and of course... you'll have to put up with an occasional grandkid pic... lol<br />
Come back... if nothing else... you will probably get your chuckle for the day!<br />
<i>...except if it was going to be a daily chuckle, I'd have to post daily... don't see that happening...I'm lucky to get the hair combed some days... hey maybe you're like me, and by tomorrow, you will have forgotten you read this... and you'll laugh again anyway!</i><br />
PS<br />
I'm especially fond of " " and ... I hope you can deal with that...<br />
...and...<br />
I don't really care if I've spelled everything right...<br />
I don't really care if the grammar is perfect...<br />
I only care about THE FUN STUFF... AND THE PAPERCRAFTS... so if you can deal with all that... we are going to get along just fine!<br />
WOO HOO! (you'll see lots of that too!) <br />
<br />
of course... if you know me... this may be the only post that ever shows up here... HAH! <br />
Adult Attention Deficit Disorder... actually diagnosed by a doctor.. apparently I'm "textbook" lol... <br />
I start lots and lots of projects...<br />
continue very few of them...<br />
finish...<i> Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I'm sure I've finished SOMETHING... just let me dig through the piles of stuff down here...</i><br />
<br />
WOW...<br />
if you read all this, post a comment... I've heard something about "blog candy" - so when I figure out how that works... I will pick a name from the comments and you'll win something... don't know what... but free is always good! ... provided I follow up and actually mail the prize... and provided I know how to find you after you post the comment, as I don't really even know how the comment thing works...<br />
oh yeah... this is gonna be FUN! <i>Long dissertation...and NO STAMPING PROJECT YET! hah!</i> Don't worry... there will be projects.... XOglendastampshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14858484453938094289noreply@blogger.com4
